Cycling Events in Arizona

Arizona is two riding states stacked on top of each other. Down in the Sonoran Desert it’s a winter haven of dry air and empty pavement, while not far north the San Francisco Peaks and the Mogollon Rim bring pine forest, altitude, and a completely different summer.

The climbing is legendary, Mount Lemmon chief among it, a road that lifts you from saguaro to pine in one go. The catch is simple. From late spring the low desert turns genuinely dangerous by midday, so you ride at dawn or you ride high.

How we build these listings: Event counts, dates, and fees are computed from live registration listings (synced nationally from the RunSignup/BikeSignup platform), deduplicated and filtered to cycling disciplines. We list what is verifiably open for registration — not every ride that exists. Last updated July 19, 2026.
