About This Event
The Ohio Valley Trail Partners presents the 20th annual tour of the Wheeling Heritage Trail on Sunday, May 30th. The cycling festivities is held at the Heritage Port in Wheeling, 1201 Water Street, Wheeling, WV 26003. T-Shirts are an extra $15 for sizes Small to 2X-Large.
E-bikes are allowed for the event, both on and off the trail portions of the ride. While riding on the trail, as for all cyclists, E-bike cyclists are required to abide by all rules of the trail and ride responsibly, especially in regards to maintaining a safe and acceptable speed while riding among non-E-bike cyclists and passing pedestrians or runners on the trail. Schedule: 7:00-9:00 AM - Packet Pickup 7:30 AM - 100K Bicycle Tour Starts 8:30 AM - 50K Bicycle Tour Starts 9:00 AM - 15K Bicycle Tour Starts 12:30 PM - Live Entertainment at the Tough As Nails Event The 100km (62 miles) ride will leave the Heritage trail for a hilly loop on country roads with a stop at Bethany College.
It is a challenging ride with great SAG support. Snack and water stops will keep riders hydrated on both the 50km and 100km rides. Every participant is required to wear a helmet.
